‘Tis the season for holiday gift shopping! And the stress that comes along with it.. But, hopefully this list will help lessen that stress.
I have been trying to think of things to get my son that aren’t toys, because he has WAY too many and not enough space for all of them. Plus, I’m sure he will get spoiled plenty by his grandparents and other family members.
If you’re in the same situation or just want to get something different, then this list might help you pick a good gift that both you and your child will be happy with.

Books
Get your kids excited about reading or add to their library!
Has your child been wanting to take dance classes or piano lessons or join a basketball team? Check out your local studios/leagues to get them enrolled!
Is your child already on a team? Maybe they could use new equipment or shoes or practice gear. The holidays are a great time to give them an upgrade or add to their basketball, football, dance or other sports equipment collection.
Get them in the creative zone with arts & crafts supplies where their imagination is the limit. It can be a set for a specific project or just some tools to let them create on their own.
Find some fun places in your area that you can visit with your kids for the day or even come back to multiple times with a membership. Or, get tickets for a special event.

Board Games & Puzzles
Add a couple of board games for family game nights! There are so many board games out there for all ages; for the whole family, toddlers, kids, and teens.
My son has really been into puzzles lately. The trickier ones that might require more heads can be a great way to spend quality family time.
A Family Trip
A gift for the whole family! Whether it’s to an amusement park, a different city or country, or just some place different from your house. I’m sure it’ll be nice just to have a change in scenery after most of us have been locked up in the house for the past couple of years.
Electronics & Gadgets
Electronics and gadgets are great gifts that will last a while. Also, most of these have accessories that are sold separately. So, if your kids already have one or a few of these electronics, then you can gift them some accessories that go with them.
Well…if you’re looking to add another member to the family and you’re ready for the commitment, then I’m sure your kids will be ecstatic to find a little (or big) creature under the tree. Plus, it can be a great way for the kids to learn responsibilities by making them take care of the pet! 😉
Money/Gift Cards
Who doesn’t love money or a gift card to their favorite store?? This is usually what I gift the older kids in my family. That way they can choose something they’ll for sure enjoy.
Wishing you luck and all the happiness this holiday season!
